Birdsong Music & Arts Festival

Birdsong Music & Arts Festival began as a small community gathering during the summer of 2020, as a way to come together around music and art as the season began to change. Now in its fifth year, Birdsong has grown into a full weekend of music and art from all over the Northeast. Set in the beautiful, rural, and quiet valley of Middletown Springs, V, Birdsong has something to offer everyone. Come on out into the country prepared to turn off your phone, set up a campsite, and dance late into the night!

Cameron Gilmour

Cam grew up in Middletown Springs, VT, where potlucks and communal singing were as commonplace as fireflies in early June. Currently living in Burlington VT, Cam works as an independent musician and photographer, as well as a sound engineer at the Radio Bean. When he started the festival that would come to be known as "Birdsong" in 2020, Cam simply wanted to organize a fun night of music for friends and family at the end of a summer of uncertainty. Those values of community, quality music, and good food that began that first year are the central threads that make Birdsong what it is today.

Bird grew up alongside Pat in West Hartford, CT. They have surrounded themselves with musicians and artists throughout their lives, including their college roommate Cam. Cam brought Bird along for help setting up in 2021 and since then they have helped run tickets, merchandise, and other logistics while Cam and Pat are tied up on stage. With the help of Kayli O’Donnell, Bird also heads the volunteers that keep Birdsong running smoothly. When you find yourself in need of help at Birdsong, whether it be setting up a tent, cleaning up a scratch, or just a friendly chat feel free to find Bird.
